Kids capoeira Classes
“We offer classes for kids through adults of all levels. Lessons focus on all aspects of capoeira: strength, flexibility, movement, endurance, coordination, vocal and instrumental skills, cultural awareness, confidence, teamwork, and community.”
Kids LESSONS (AGES 6–11)
MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS 5:00–6:00 PM
TUITION
You can drop-in to try a capoeira class or enroll in monthly classes. The monthly pricing includes 2 classes per week.
Drop-in class: $25
Month-to-month plan: $110 per month (cancel any time with 30 days notice)
6-month plan: $85 per month
We recommend trying capoeira for at least 6 months to get the basics down.
Billing company, Member Solutions, handles billing for students on a monthly payment plan. For drop-in payments, you can book on Exploring Not Boring, or we take cash or Venmo (@jamaika-Romualdo).
INSTRUCTORS
Mestre Jamaika teaches the majority of the classes along with Salt Lake Capoeira instructors who assist under his direction.

LOCATION
Our capoeira lessons take place at Trolley Square in the beautiful Alliance Theater near the Old Spaghetti Factory. When the weather is warm (May–October), we hold our capoeira classes outside in the park, under the sun, and with the grass between our toes. In January 2025, capoeira classes will be moving to the Utah Arts Alliance’s SLC Arts Hub location near the Gateway.
